1. History

   
   St. John Bosco was proclaimed by the Church as the Father and Teacher of youth. But not just any type of youth. In his time, when the city of Turin, Italy was experiencing rapid industrialization, St. John Bosco reached out in a special way to young workers.
   
   He opened Technical training centers in order to give them the necessary skills and attitudes. He also inculcated in them Christian virtues and values. He visited them in factories and followed up their growth. He sat down with management in order to assure optimum working conditions for the young workers.
   
   Today, the followers of St. John Bosco, the Salesian Fathers and Brothers, envision a similar presence within the rapidly growing CALABARZON. As more and more industries are coming up, so also the number of young workers. Right in their midst is the Church of St. John Bosco, Sta. Rosa. And hopefully soon will rise the Don Bosco Center for Young Workers, with a small community of Salesians to serve as animating nucleus.

2. Vision

   
   St. John Bosco Parish envisions to become a Christ-centered community:
   
   

   	of FAMILIES committed to their Christian life and united in love and service;
   	of CHILDREN and YOUTH faithful to Christ and formed into servant-leaders;
   	of YOUNG WORKERS and INDIVIDUALS educated in the faith and living the values of the Gospel.

   
   

3. Mission

   
   In order to achieve this, St. John Bosco Parish commits:
   
   

   	to minister to the Christian and holistic formation of all, especially the youth and the young workers;
   	to provide for the meaningful celebration of the sacraments and prayer;
   	to establish Basic Ecclesial Communities (BEC);
   	to put into practice the spirit and the educative system of St. John Bosco;
   	to foster devotion and love to Mary Help of Christians.
